DOG TRAINING CAN BE SIMPLE IF YOU BREAK IT DOWN TO ITS BASIC STEPS—WITH 27 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, JULIE DOUBEK KNOWS AND WILL EXPLAIN HOW AT GAME FAIR

After only training dogs for a year, Julie Doubek won her first hunting dog trial. Being only six years old at the time made that quite an accomplishment. It was not her last victory. Her early successes, paired with the fact that her parents own Gold Meadows Hunting Preserve, have led her to a lifetime of dog training.

She’ll be sharing her extensive knowledge daily in a seminar about the simplicity of dog training. “Having a well-trained, obedient dog doesn’t just happen automatically but it also doesn’t have to cost a lot or take a ton of time each day,” Doubek said. As a hunting guide and head trainer at Gold Meadows, she has given plenty of lessons to dog owners about fixing problems with their dogs. Most of those problems could have been solved with some simple training, she said.

While the seminar is focused on gun dogs, the lessons apply for all breeds because it’s all about being a good companion. Be sure to visit Doubek and her puppies at the Gold Meadows booth. She loves answering questions and chatting with people who love dogs. Bring your questions, bring your dog and bring an interest in learning how to be a better dog owner.
