“ELK COUNTRY JOURNAL” HOST WAYNE CARLTON TO DEMONSTRATE ELK CALLING AND HUNTING TECHNIQUES IN HIS SEMINAR AUGUST 15, 16 & 17

WWayne Carlton is one of the most avid elk hunters in the world today as demonstrated by his role as host of the popular television show “Elk Country Journal.” He started life, however, as an avid turkey hunter in Central Florida. When he moved to Colorado in 1976, he heard his first elk bugle in the wide-open spaces of the high country and was immediately hooked.

He will demonstrate the skills necessary to become an expert elk bugler and sharing the latest information on elk hunting tactics. Carlton was the first the market the diaphragm elk call and has designed many calls and related products for the hunting market. He currently serves as a consultant for numerous companies in the hunting industry.

A life member of both the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the National Wild Turkey Federation, he has served on the Board of Directors for both organizations and continues to work with both to further the efforts of conservation. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter and 2007 inductee into the Bowhunters Hall of Fame.
